Boys
Uniform
  • The full, correct school uniform must be worn.
  • Trousers may not be tapered.
  • In summer a short-sleeved shirt with an open collar and the school badge may be worn.
  • Long-sleeved shirts must always be worn with a tie.
  • School shoes with laces (no buckles) are allowed.
  • Trousers must be worn properly. No hipsters are allowed
  • Plain belts are compulsory with trousers. No funny/weird buckles are allowed.
  • No beanies are allowed.
  • If a jersey of a different colour is worn underneath the blue school jersey, it must not be visible. Otherwise the pupil will be asked to take it off.
  • Pupils are not allowed to wear the blue Jurgie shirt with their uniform.
  • Ties must be worn properly and should not be hanging loose around the neck.
  • No tracksuit tops may be worn with the school uniform.
  • Boys are allowed to wear short grey trousers, but then grey school socks must be worn as well.

Hair
  • Hair must be kept clean, short and neat at all times.
  • No extreme hair fashions or cult-related styles will be allowed.
  • No unshaved faces or ‘sidies’ will be allowed.
  • Hair may not touch the ears and may not be longer than two finger breadths above the collar.
  • When combed forward, the fridge may not touch the eyebrows.
  • No long sideburns are permitted. Sideburns may not be worn below the middle of the ear.
  • Hair may not be dyed or highlighted.
  • The school management reserves the right to decide whether a pupil’s hair is acceptable or not.
  • NO gel to be worn in hair.

  • If a learner transgresses the rules regarding hair/outer appearance, the following rules will apply
  • A verbal warning and negative points.
  • Parents have to fetch pupil and see to it that he/she adheres to the written rules regarding appearance at the expense of the parent.
  • No tongue piercings allowed for boys/girls.
  • Tattoes must be covered by the school uniform-not allowed to be sees. (Applicable to boys and girls).

Girls
Uniform
  • Pupils in school uniform represent their school. It is therefore of the utmost importance that pupils wear the full and correct uniform at all times.
  • School uniforms must always be clean, neat and in good repair.
  • Jerseys, windbreakers and track suits other than the prescribed uniform are not acceptable and may not be worn to school.
  • The correct skirt length is 10cm above the knee when kneeling.
  • Long-sleeved shirts may not be worn with summer uniforms. Pupils must also wear the correct school shoes. (Seniors may wear panty hoes (Blackmail).
  • Juniors, as well as Seniors wear white socks and black school shoes, or baby dolls in the summer. In the winter everyone wears black stockings or tights or the prescribed school slacks Matric girls are allowed to wear the navy court shoes.
  • Scarves may not be used as substitutes for school ties.

  • No tracksuit tops may be worn with the school uniform. Girls may wear navy school trousers on the condition that:
  • The trousers are the correct color and cut.
  • Trousers are not tapered or changed in any way.

  • Only the school navy blue Drimacs are allowed.
  • SUMMER’S DRESS: If long trousers are worn on cool summer days it must be worn with a school pullover/blazer.
  • Only white socks are allowed with school uniform.
  • If a jersey of a different colour is worn underneath the blue school jersey, it should not be visible. Otherwise the pupil will be asked to take it off

  • Ties (school ties) must be worn properly and should not be hanging loose around the neck.

Hair
  • Hair not allowed to touch eye-brows. Should be 1 cm above eye-brows.
  • No loose strings of hair may be worn in front of the ears.
  • Hair must be fastened or cut as soon as it reaches the lower end of the collar.
  • Dyed hair and highlights will definitely no be tolerated.
  • Slides, clips, combs, ribbons and other hair accessories may only be navy blue (like the school uniform), or white.
  • NO gel to be worn in hair.
  • NO weird styles allowed.
  • Hair exceeding the length of 20 cm, must be tied with a second elastic. Braided hair not allowed to hang loose. Must be tied as well.

Nails
  • Long nails are a hindrance, this is unsuitable with school uniform. Nails may just be visible above the fingertips.
  • No request for growing long nails will be considered.
  • Only colourless nail polish is allowed.

Jewellery
  • Only one signet ring may be worn.
  • Earrings: Only a small earring or stud may be worn in silver or gold. No diamond or star shapes are allowed. Only one earring may be worn in each ear, and in the normal place.
  • No chains may be worn around the neck.
  • No tongue piercings allowed for boys/girls.
  • Wrist watches worn by girls must be plain without charms or any decorations.

Make-up
  • Make-up is quite unsuitable with school uniform and is not allowed
