At Hoërskool Johan Jurgens, we strive to explore more than just one avenue of education, exposing our learners to a diverse range of industries. One of our initiatives is the Photography Club, designed to provide a creative outlet for our visually talented students.
The Photography Club operates throughout the school year, present at every school event and capturing unforgettable moments as they unfold. This not only enriches our school magazine and website with high-quality visual content, but also fosters a sense of community and school spirit.
Our members meet every Friday for engaging classes where they learn to harness their photographic talents. Students are taught essential camera functions and fundamental skills, tailored for beginner and novice photographers. Additionally, we guide them on how to transform their passion for photography into a business, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to thrive in this exciting field.
