WORK ENNOBLES

As an activity, debating is important to develop critical thinking skills, sought-after skills in the outside world and particularly at tertiary -education level.  Debating is important to develop and to improve essay writing throughout the FET stage of education. These skills can be put to good use when writing History essays or Literary essays where academic writing is required. Debating improves learners’ ability to ‘think on their feet’ and provides them the opportunity to build an argument and put their language skills to the test. At present our school is working on development and inter-school competitions. In July of 2024, we participated in and won, the District Debating Competition.
